What's the role about

  • As we continues to grow rapidly, MotorK is seeking an experienced, highly

energetic and motivational Team Leader. Your work with us is to lead and shape an effective cross-functional team of 6-10 people of which 3-6 engineers are under your direct management. As a Team lead in Leadspark, you will help us build our strong, supportive and vibrant culture of Engineering in our tribe and in MotorK.

We’re constantly striving to be data driven. That means we measure everything that gives us insights we can use to continuously improve. We do that in a Lean way, using Kanban to represent our workflow while we’re using Scrum as an agile framework. As such you'll be responsible for:

What you should have to fit the role

  • Contribute to scaling our platform to the next level of modularity & shareability while working on architecture, tools, standards, and practices for the engineering European organization
  • Hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, feedback, and career development of the engineering team
  • manage the careers and development of our talented pool of Engineers in your team, and build strong relationships based on trust through regular feedback and 1:1s
  • Putting in place and continuously improving quality practices (code quality, testing, release management)
  • Supporting the team with as much or little process as they require, e.g. implementing Scrum or other methodology effectively
  • Working together with the team’s product manager to align technology solutions with the product vision as well as building strong relationships with QA leaders, UX designers and stakeholders
  • Use your experience in software delivery to monitor the productivity of the team, embed Agile best-practices, and encourage a continuous improvement mindset to maximise the team's delivery potential

What you should have to fit the role

  • Experience introducing or improving in place Agile methodologies, such as XP/Scrum/Kanban
  • Previous Experience in Software engineering or in a similar field in Computer Science
  • Track Record of proven people management experience focused on developing and growing people. Not just on putting people on the path, but dealing with all sorts of situations
  • Previous experience in building teams and create the structure for team success and motivation
  • Passion and experience architecting, building and scaling services, cloud-based systems
  • Experience in high-scale migrations is highly welcome for this role
  • Experienced in working in an environment that champions a DevOps mindset, Continuous Integration, and Delivery;
  • Our tech stack is PHP, VueJS and Golang, in optimal case you have experience with at least one of those
  • Experience in both inheriting and building software engineering teams, and growing and optimizing them;
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Build relationships between technical teams and stakeholders, and increase collaboration and facilitate better communication;

  • Participate in the design and specification of new architecture, features and solutions;
  • Retain the best talent and key knowledge holders;
  • Providing reports and insight to management - plan and track project progress using Agile metrics and estimation;
